Custom automobile magnets are the way to go for small business owners on a budget who want to effectively promote their brands. Everybody you pass (or who passes you) will see your car magnets. Many people choose to paint their vehicles. However, once a vehicle is painted, the only way to remove the paint is to repaint it again. That can become a real pain if the business fails or if for any other reason the owner wants to use their personal vehicle without the paint. How We Make Your Custom Car Magnets
We print two sets of our customer's design for each side of the car. Once the print is complete, we run it through our laminator. We do this to protect the print from the elements. Because we have created two customer prints, our designer trims the excess vinyl and trim to the approximate size of the finished product.
Once we trim the vinyl, we bring out our magnet material, which is 24 inches wide and 30-mil thick. Then, we cut the magnet material to the approximate size of the print and put the print on top of the magnet. We lay the print onto the magnet and secure one end using masking tape. The masking tape creates a hinge which makes it easy for us to stick the print to the magnet.
We then take the magnet with the print on top and put it on a steel plate, which keeps the two materials flat and stable. We then peel back the liner as it goes through the laminator. When the last lamination is complete, we peel off the tape, trim the magnet with an X-ACTO knife and a ruler to the customer's specifications. Once that is complete, the last step in our magnet production is to round the corners. We do this so the magnet will not lift from the vehicle and fly off when the car is moving.
